| To the President of the United States of America I never thought I would live to see the day that I would watch this great nation attack another country as we have done when we attacked Iraq. Going into Afghanistan seemed very appropriate because we we hunting down terrorist that were protected by that country and for all purposes were from that country or supported or protected by that country. And we should always make a country accountable for supporting terrorism or our enemies that use their land to plan attacks against the United States. This is so especially since they do nothing to stop those terrorist. That is not the same as invading a country and for all purposes I would not blame the rest of the world to view us as an arrogant bully. And if I were any other country, I would feel intimidated but rallied against the United States because of that action. It is an action that was not justified and was not thought out regarding the end result, nor were all and the many ramifications considered. We have done more to unite the terrorist and aligned more terrorist against us than any other action we could have done. We are viewed around the world as a powerful bully, not a country of peace and not the protectors of Freedom. As an “"xMarine"” I served in Viet Nam, but as time went on I felt shame for my country and the leaders who put our troops in harms way for as it came to be for “nothing” It was a time of great human waste and torment and pain and suffering as all wars are destined to be, but it did not have to be a war. I was even ashamed of the people who ridiculed and badgered the troops when they came home. What people have to remember is that as a service man or woman we follow orders. Right or wrong we have to follow orders. We are sworn to protect our country. The only serviceman that can choose to not follow orders are the Generals and all they have to do so is by resigning. And as far I know there was only one great General who discreetly chose to do that. So as an "xMarine", of course I support the troops over there. Even if I had not had a history in the service as an American I would always support the troops that we send anywhere. What I choose to not support is the war and the circumstances that brought it into being which has been nothing more than a unification of terrorism. It should be a law that the leaders of this nation have to go to war with the troops we send and fight side by side with those troops until the war is over. This should be the law unless it is like the circumstances surrounding World War Two and the First Great War. We should be the defenders of the world and not the aggressors. Shame on us. Shame on our leaders and shame on our President. Our policy going into another country should be a swift and decisive action, in and out. Even if we feel or are even presuming to be justified, we should not leave our troops in any country for any length of time. Our operations should be in and out. As a leader you should put yourself in these peoples shoes. You would not like a country coming in our country for any reason let alone to occupy it. Who do we think we are. Do we have to be as bad as the terrorist and act like gangsters showing no respect for anything or anyone. War is Hell for all sides and for all levels. It is hell for the troops and the families and the nation. The only thing this war has done is make the rich richer and the poor poorer. It has united the terrorist and has drained our economy. Whether the politicians realize it or not we are in a inflationary recession. This is the next worse place to be. Lets wake up before we send our country in a depression. A depression, not just in monetary means but our character and leadership and as the protectors of Freedom. We should be building our image not destroying it. We should be building and protecting the world in all its shape and forms and ask “Is it good for everyone concerned” |

To the President of the United States of America Why is it so hard to understand that when people stop spending money or do not have the money to spend, it is going to hurt our economy. For the short term only the rich will get richer, but that is the goal of investing, get in and out with your profits while the poor and middle class provide you your wealth. The people as a whole have less spendable income for basically three reason. Mortgage variable loans

To the President of the United States of America Our leaders must act quickly and decisively to save the American dream of owning a home. Many Americans are losing their homes through foreclosures. When foreclosures reach this degree of magnitude, it should be handled as a National Disaster and dealt with quickly. A moratorium should be initiated and the interest rate should be lowered for these Americans. New laws an regulations should be made so that the American dream of owning a home will be for all Americans and not just the few. The variable interest rate and standard of how it is set up should be abandoned. Simply put, there should be a moratorium on all foreclosures for 90 Days and should be reviewed to add an additional 90 days if needed until this crisis is resolved. The interest rates for these people facing foreclosure should be lowered by 2%. The variable interest rate should be abandoned. Home loans should be lower than other loans and should not be variable. Stop allowing the banks and lending institutions from making unfair practices and interest rate changes based on multiple indexes, always in their favor. This standard of variable interest rates in buying a home takes away spendable income as the rates go up. Variable rates are not good for the people nor the country. Variable rates serve the rich, the banks and the lending institutions. You must put a stop to it now. There should be simple regulations and laws and simple contracts protecting Americans from the shrewd practices of the Lending institutions stacking the decks and profiteering from exorbitant interest rates. Not just now but in future, the lending and banking industry should be stopped from charging unreasonably high variable interest rates. The variable rate is stacked in favor of the lender. They pick the index that will best suit them in the long run. They know where the index is going in the future. Give people a fair loan at a fixed rate. The variable loan is a disaster for our economy. Get rid of it. It is best for all concerned to step in and stop this disaster from continuing. It is the American dream to own your own home and the dream should "leave no one behind". |
